This appears to be the first year that a good number of Motleys will be available for sale. I agree that it is only resonable to expect that the price will decrease but I wouldn't expect it to drop too far despite dire predictions from people who want to promote rapid price drops.

There is still way to much to be done with Motleys before the price dramatically declines. First of all there are very few Super Motleys out there so there would be no reason for people who have litters to sell females too cheap when the supers will command a high price for years to come; it would make more sense to just keep the females. Futhermore combinations of morphs with Motleys is still in it's very early stages with few Motley combination morphs produced to date. Many combinations to make Motley het for X haven't even been done yet. Combinations with super Motleys obviously haven't even been done yet.

Another whole area within Motley breeding that is in it's early stages is attempts to make better looking Motleys. There is a range of Motley boas that are being produced currently as you can see by the babies produced and their Motley parents. Selective breeding with dramatically colored and patterned Motleys and breeders will allow for production of much more dramatic Motleys.

With all of this potential and the likely production of some dramtic motley combination morphs this year this is the time when Motley boas should be more desirable than ever to boa breeders. With all of this potential there is no reason to hastily drop prices. Finally, I don't see the production of a number of animals and a resonable drop in price as a bad thing for me as a breeder contrary to the post above. Having produced babies this year and seeing them grow I know that the more people who have Motleys and produce litters the stronger the overall project will become as they get to work with this amazing morph.
