I've never heard the theory that breeding calms females down and it doesn't hold much water for any of my females.



Most of mine are mild-mannered but when ovulating, preparing to lay and recovering from laying, they can be really unpredictable. The whole process is stressful for them so I wouldn't imagine that it would improve your female's mood - it's more likely to make her even worse in my view.



If all you're looking to do is change her character, I'd say you're onto a loser. Some Corns (a small minority) just don't take to humans and there's nothing you can do about those hardcore ones. If you've tried all the other tricks and they've failed, my best advice is to keep handling to a minimum and wear gloves.



Above all else, avoid breeding. If you're unlucky and bad characters are inherited, you could end up with a seriously p*****d off mama and a whole bunch of ornery hatchlings to rehome!
