If there's an over abundance of a certain type of morph the price will drop. This year there seems to be an amazing amount of boas being born. Many are from new breeders. They have the same breeding stock that the big name breeder have, but they can't get the same prices the big name breeders can. You'll always have the big name breeders that will be higher priced though. The thing is that now you have many many "new breeders" out there. Although they'd like to get the amount of money for their snakes that the big name breeders do, they normally can't. They sell their boas at a reasonable or rock bottom prices. This is good for the buyer, but not the seller. I believe this "rock bottom" pricing for some of the higher end morphs might even upset a few breeders that were hoping to get a higher price for their animals. After all, there's only a limited number of people that can afford some of the highest dollar snakes. Even these people would rather "buy for less" and save a couple thousand. | ||
