Swollen joints on trouble gecko

I have a male crested that has always been a weak little guy. He now has swollen back leg joints. He is slow to eat anything, insects, baby food, or CGD. It has been hard getting any calcium in him. Im wondering if Ca is going to help him this far along. Has anyone had a problem with MBD with cresties?
