if the female somehow ovulated, it would be possible. Usually the ovulation is brought on by a male courting the female for some time, which causes her body to start moving the eggs down her body to later be fertilized.

In this case, something may have gotten the female to ovulate, such as temperature drop, or perhaps she just did it naturally. Once those eggs move, they have to go somewhere. being that there was no male in contact with her, there was no sperm to fertilize the eggs. so the eggs stayed unfertilized, and just got passed.

I could be way off, but it sounds legit to me because Ive known some birds to do the same, lay dead eggs without a male being present.

I wouldnt worry about it, discard the slugs, and try your best to resume a normal feeding schedule, the female should be ok.
