STOP FEEDING BY HAND, use tongs or hemostats, the longer the better. Also don't have your hand in a direct line if the snake misses. I hold the tongs at a 45 degree angle so when (note it's WHEN, not if) the snake misses the rat, your hand is not next on the same trajectory.
For the bite, should be fine, let it bleed a little and a dab of hydrogen peroxide should do the trick. Keep an eye on it for redness over the next few days.
