I also only get Deuce wet when he got poopy. I've seen him in his water dish only one time.
Usually, he gets freaked out when I get him wet, so no swimming for him, thank you!
He is a snow corn, maybe he is more temperature sensitive or something. I have to be careful if I take him out, he can get a sunburn!
Also, he is verrrry ticklish after he sheds, and likes to feel different textures, cloth and velvet and stuff...
If the humidity is low, I put a damp cloth over the mesh screen. He's only had one yucky shed in over 8 years, so it must be ok!
