And they were great, non biters.
There are crazy individuals of all species of monitors, I have seen wacked out spastic Savs, and ackies for darn sake. Its more about what has happened to them, not about what they are.
In the case of wildcaught croc monitors, what do you expect out of them is what my be very unrealistic. Those individuals experience so many things that are not natural and out of their control, its amazing there are any sane ones.
Just think about it. They are caught, tied up, tied to a branch or a tree, stuffed into boxes, bags and crates. They are stuffed in with all sorts of other animals(the smells). They are held, sometimes still tied to a stick, for long periods in close contact with all sorts of wild animals and birds, not just other monitors. Then they are stuffed in small crates and shipped all over the world in all sorts of temperatue conditions. Then they go from person to person, and box to box, until they reach you. And you think they should be "normal"? Nope, you should not think that. You should understand they are highly stressed and treat them in such a way.
Unless they are extremely extremely done in, they can regain their normal behaviors. But all of them are stressed in one way or another. Cheers
