RE: ornate eggs

Can you build something around the eggs to keep them safe from predators?
Build a little fenced in enclosure with a screen top over the area where she laid the eggs maybe?
I didn't know one of ours laid eggs last year until I found them dug up & eaten with little skunk footprints all around the area. :-x
