I was also wondering that myself...My smallest 05's are over 300g and they were late hatches...Most are 550-650g with one pig of a pastel that is over 1000g and she is now in a hunger strike for the past 3 weeks... I kind of get the idea that people do not have enough food to cover all their animals or they are pawning 06's off as 05's to try to get a little extra cash...On the other hand, if it is an 06 and it is that large, it must be eating well and that is a bonus in my book... I really do not believe what most people say about how they are slamming this or that, I have learned that most ball pythons eat when they want...and what they want, a pig may stop eating for a long period at around 1000g, actually I expect that. When I buy, I look at the overall health of the animal...if I see folds of skin, I stay away, if it is plump and alert, I am interested. I have yet to have an animal that does not go off feed for at least a little while, but an animal that is almost a year old and under 300g is a little suspicious to me...It would be nice though if they ate as well as my boas or milks...
