I would start with a small species, like a Spotted or Children's Python or a small boa like one of the Sandboas or Rosy Boa.
The beauty of these species is that they are easy to keep, breed and they don't have 40 young at a time.
Even though it seems great to have 30 baby boas, you do have to house and feed them for the few weeks it takes to get rid of them. With 30 babies, that can be a hassle.
The smaller species rarely have more than 15 babies and they babies are easier to house. ----- Chris Harrison
