Here is my take on Hets. Do not buy a pair! I am going to assume you are going to be buying babies, and your goal is to produce whatever morph you buy the hets for. Lets take Ghosts, say you want to produce Ghosts. The best way, in my opinion, is to buy a couple of Het Ghost females this year. You can probably get them for like $600 each. Feed them good, and next year buy a male Ghost, probably like $750 by then. Hope at least one of the females is a good eater, and you get Ghost babies in a few years. If you buy a het pair, and the female does not eat well, you have wasted time and money, trust me, I am there right now.
