mouth swelling. help needed.

7ft. female red tail boa has swelling around mouth (gumline) on one side. just bought her. previous owner treated her for mouth rot; not sure how he treated her. we have a great vet but can't get her in for a few days due to work schedules. we will get her in but would like to do what we can to help her in the mean time. we would appreciate any suggestions.
