By far, not only locality boas but raising Anacondas and retics is fascinating. In my own experience, I've had the ones that arrived nasty but within some time calmed down. At the moment, I own two that are extremely calm and friendly. I believe Anacondas are the smartest snake out there. In fact, large snakes have bad reputation due their growing size and large amount of animals imported that wouldn't acclimate to captivity. Nowadays, things are changing a bit since there are more people breeding these animals in captivity. My suggestion if you are planing to purchase an Anaconda, make sure you do some search, make sure you purchase one as a baby; grow with it so you both can learn from each other; not only that, but most important remember of the future expenses that involve housing and feeding the animal. Now, when you are ready and finally decide to go for it, keep in mind that regardless of how friendly your Anaconda may be, an Anaconda will always be an Anaconda. Good luck.
