I don't know all the shows in the area, but the biggest show in Texas is the East Texas Herp Society Expo. This year it is September 8-10. Check out their website for more info - http://www.eths.org/html/expo2006.htm. It is a very big show, and many of the major breeders attend it.
The only downer to that show seems to be that the city is now enforcing its no snakes over 8 foot rule. That means you can't sell or display babies of those species either. That might put a damper on things, although I don't know who is going to enforce those rules.
Big boas and pythons are one thing, but are they going to restrict Honduran Milks, Beauty Snakes, Bullsnakes, Ratsnakes, etc. all of which have exceeded 8 feet in length? Are all Boa constrictors banned even though most populations from North and Central America don't get that big? ----- Chris Harrison
