We have a tendency to give common names that are all too often misleading. In this case the range of what we call "Brazilian" rainbows does include a number of countries. When an animal comes out of, say Peru, that does not mean that it has to be what is known as the "Peruvian' rainbow, E. c. gaigei. [ Hide Replies ]
