Actually I think size does matter as far as the "size of the litter" goes.

Of course, that could mean "more babies" or it could mean "very large babies".

I've known 1, 8 foot boa to drop only 18 babies with no slugs. These babies were HUGE. Almost 24 inches at birth. Lots of fluid with that birth too. The mother swelled up like she was going to have a "HUGE LITTER". The only thing huge about that litter was the size of the babies. This same boa had 42 babies 2 years later. There were some slugs and still born in that litter along with the 42 babies. These babies ranged from 12 to 17 inches at birth.
