Of course I know the history, it was born here Its grandparents were a solid black central american male and female "pet shop boa". About a quarter of offspring looked "funky". They were pewter and lavender colored. A friend picked up a few of the strange looking babies. During installation of all new caging, the boas were placed together in one enclosure. Not much worry about breeding since the female was only 5' long. Shortly after, I got the female from him. And one night a pile of babies were crawling around her cage. Since I keep very meticulous records, we were able to track it back to that particular weekend.

This was the only one in the litter to look like this. But it certainly was not a normal looking litter. Half of the offspring were silver with virtually solid black tails (and remain so today) and the other half have so much peach and sherbert color that they put many pastels to shame. I still have 4 of the siblings.

I have had people ask me if he was a cross with nice looking hogg. But he is either pure central american or a CA/colombian mutt. No telling what the "pet shop boa" was. I was just told it looked like a normal boa. His mother is still only 5 long and seems that sheis full grown. He is a year and about 2' long. It should prove interesting.
