I had one in very similar condition

The liver on mine looked just like that also. No matter what I did (and trust me, I did everything) It just didn't seem capable of absorbing the nutrients. I also had mine checked by a vet and there were no parasites showing up either.

It didn't make it. I even had a necropsy done and the vet found nothing. They said that sometimes "failure to thrive" is the only explanation. A defect in the internal organs or digestive tract.



I wish you luck... but it's a tough road.

Keep it hydrated, that seems to do almost as much as the feeding to perk them up.
