Hi name David

There are lot’s of things that can cause this behavior . Starting with the substrate and or the temp. of it or it could be something in the cage or a cleaning product used that the snake is picking up on that it dose not like or is harmful and it just once to get away from . I’m not claming to know all the answers but I have been raising reptiles for over 37 years and still learning but I know a lot. Good luck with all you do!
