Alright guys, I have good news and I have bad news. Good first, Dr. Dave says that I have been doing everything right for this little guy. He says that for the condition of the case he is doing extremely well. He was surprised to see him walking around and acting very awake and alert and aware. He is going to hopefully go in tomorrow for x-rays. The bad news... Dr. Dave also says that I should seriously think about euthanasia. He said even with surgury, because of the severity if his condition he is not sure that his digestion will ever be "normal" nor work properly again. He is afraid that even after surgery and if he survives it, he might eat once and become impacted with his meal. I asked him if he thought the diet of liquid mixture would be enough to sustain him IF I decided to have him under go surgery and he said it might but there is no guarentee. I asked if he looked like he was in too much pain. He said he thought he was uncomfortable, but not in any kind of visable excrutiating pain. He said I could continue to treat if I wanted to. I told him that I would continue with treatment until he passes it, gets worse, or of course if he dies. I don't want to give up on him now, he is still alive, moving, walking and being alert. Let me know your thoughts on this.
