They WILL spread and will infect your other snakes. I use reptile relief w/ 110% results. It can be sprayed directly on the animal and is non toxic. Provent-a-mite is great as well but is more of a cage mite killer. Which the R.R. serves as both for me. You will want to put the infected boa on paper towels as a substrate so that you can monitor the mite status and treat for them easier. hope this helps.
