With all the excitement surrounding the latest Jaguar discovers (which have created more questions than answers), I now believe that it's entirely possible for the Jaguar gene('s?) to bring forth not only Hypos, Red Hypos, Bananas, Leucistics, ect., ....but also *Albinos. IMHO, there are obviously multiple and complex genes at work here, and as I have said in the past, I still don't think we've scratched the surface. What I believe to be even more exciting is the "possibility" of a Jaguar popping out with multiple visible traits (Paradox of sorts), such as Leucism AND Albinism displayed simultaneously in one animal (perhaps an Albino Jaguar with Piebald patches, *AND one pink eye and one blue eye!). Impossible?



A few months back there was a guy at the Orlando F.I.R.E. Expo who had some turtles on his table that absolutely astonished me. He had one Albino Red-Eared Slider with pure white patches (Piebald) and two different colored eyes (one pink and one blue). He also had a few siblings that were the same body style (Albino & Pied) but both eyes had blue (Leucistic) irises and pink (Albino) pupils! I never would have believed it, yet there it was right in front of me. A combo of Albinism & Leucism displayed in one animal. It was fantastic. Is such a thing possible with a snake, ...the Jaguar in particular? I don't see why not. Just some food for thought.
