Hello,

Our Female Citrus has really undergone a complete personality change in the past two weeks. She is housed with her (hopefully) mate, a Red/Gold male. They have grown up together. As of late, she will not let us pick her up without a fight. We can't even touch her without her freaking out. She has been digging all over her cage. She won't take food from our hands anymore. She used to be our calmest dragon, now she just stresses out when we try to interact with her. She is 1 year old and about 16-17 inches long.

My first thought was that she may be gravid, but she really isn't showing any signs. Her belly is not distended, nor can we feel any lumps in there. I have never witnessed any courting behavior between the two. I know this doesn't make it an impossibility, but I've never seen him take any interest in her.

I have provided a moist, deep, sandy area under a cork log for her to create a burrow, just in case.

Any ideas? Any experience with this?

Any replies appreciated.

Thanks,

-----
Diego
