Posted by: riddick13 at Thu Jun 22 15:54:29 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by riddick13 ] I got a newborn anery from a friend about 2 weeks ago. i got the snake when it was about 2 days old. the clutch was small and all the babies he still has shed. my problem is the mine started to shed a week ago and stopped. the baby shed off just the head area and part of the shed is still attached under the jaw. the shed seem to be getting kind of tight around the babies body. i gave the baby a long warm bath hoping it would help with the shed but it did not. i tried to help it shed, kind of like a light massage where the skin stopped sheding, but it will not shed. i have never had a snake do this before and i'm curious if this is common. i've also never had a snake so young before. i'm also concerned because the baby will not eat and i think it may be because of the bad shed. any advise would be great. thanks for any replies in advance |
