Let me tell you how this project started. In the year 1999 I stumbled upon the most Yellow female Col. Boa I'd ever seen at a local pet store. She was 8 feet long and had retained a bright clean color as an adult. I'd never seen her equal so I quickly purchased her and smiled all the way home! I bred her that year to a normal looking Col. male and she produced 28 live babies. As babies they all looked fairly similar to me.... but as they got to be six months old some started to look very different..... they were turning the same yellow as momma! This is the sad part of the story...... I fell on hard times and like a BONE HEAD I sold momma and all the babies. Well not ALL the babies...I kept three! Thank Goodness! I didn’t have a digital camera back then so I have NO good pics of the momma that started this. But I have pics of her F1 and now the F2 babies! The pics in this part of the post are her F1 babies. You can see to females from the same litter and how different the coloration is becoming, then as adults how AWESOME the change! These photos are true color, not touched up... [ Hide Replies ]
