The other, and in my opinion more likely, explaination is that the gene that is mutated to make the albino trait is separate from the gene(s) that make the lavander pigment. In the same way that a given normal phase retic can have varying amounts of black or silver, it makes sense that those same genes could control the amount of the purple coloration in albinos. It just shows up differently when you take out the other colors. | ||
