Captive care of Puffadders is very easy, they are almost "bullet proof". Keep them at 85 to 90 degrees with a room temperature cool spot. A water bowl to match the animals size. They eat almost anything dead or alive, mice, rats chicks. Stay FAR away from the end with the fangs, they can strike almost the whole length of their body and in any direction.
As for reproduction, why bother, there are so many available already. It's also easy, Male + Female= lots of mouths to feed and find homes for.
