Scarlet Hypos for instance were first produced by Jeff Ronne. They are the result of selective breeding combination of his Pastel Dreams and Hypomelanistic boas.

Rich Ihle has a female salmon named Cotton Candy, and the salmons she produces are named after her.

There are a LOT of names that are just thrown in. You'll have to learn over time what is what, there really is no other way.

Also beware of people using names of well known breeders and saying their stock came from so and so, if it really did, the original breeder is usually able to verify such a claim.
