Crotalus oregonus oregonus. I am aware that the venom of this snake is on the mild side, but the crofab seemed to be extremely effective for treatment of the bite. Also, I know that Sean Bush has successfully used CroFab to treat bites from more dangerous snakes like Crotalus scutulatus, helleri, and atrox, this leads me to believe that it would be at least semi-effective for other rattlesnake bites as well.
10 viles. However, at the hospital in which I was treated, snake bites are not common, so they told me they were going to be overly cautious with me because they were inexperienced. I noticed a significant reduction in the swelling after 5 viles were administered, 4-5 hours later they gave me 5 more (to be on the safe side), 10 was probably overkill.
You assumed i was bitten in the arm, I just said my arm was swollen, I was bitten in the hand while climbing on some rocks.
Is your information based upon actual facts or are you just forming an opinion based upon hearsay? Like you say, Law of Logical Argument: Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.
Thanks,
Scott
