Nothing like taking your pet to have it checked out and end up with an identity crisis! It has been a couple of months since our bp, Apep, has eaten. We were not too concerned because he didn't seem to be loosing weight and his last shed (a month ago) was a perfect one piece with both eyecaps included. Not to mention we had our reptile vet check it out and he was fine. We finally decided to take him to a local shop (AHP in Loginville, GA). We tried a live rat (under strict watch) and outside of a little initial interest Apep could have cared less... Infact, he was so nonthreatening that the rat ended up sitting down and grooming itself. Upon a little more examination we (actually not we, AHP) found out one startling fact... Seems that the bp we have had for a little over a year now is infact female... Poor thing has probably been on a hunger strike trying to keep it's girlish figure so we would realize that she was... well, a she. Anyway, she still hasn't eaten (we are going to work on it this weekend). But hopefully this new revalation will help (don't know how, but its a hope). As for HER name, well after the kids begged she is now Mrs. Fluffy... to go along with my son's hamster Mr. Fluffy. Ugh!
