As a general rule they have a low toxicity. But this can vary depending on bite location, amount injected, and possible allergic reaction.
I know of an adult bite that made the victim sick for 3 days. A neonate bite that was compared to being slammed with a hammer. Prevention is an easier path to follow than treatment!
I have been breeding them for 3 years and enjoy them. Once babies are feeding on pinkies they are easy to maintain. They are nocturnal, so I feed at night and clean the cage during the day.
Looking at your e-mail addy leads me to thinking you are in Florida? If so, check with a mentor or other hot keepers for more details and opinions. ----- Tim Cole
