I would give her a try. I have a female Het Lavender that was born in July of 05 that just hit 1200g. I am definitely going to give her a try this year if she continues putting on weight like she has been. She has been growing incredibly fast and does not look overweight to me at all. I feed her a small rat every 5 days and she has went from 250g when I purchased her in January to 1200g now. She seems to retain almost all of the weight from her meals. What's crazy is she would probably be even larger if I bought her when she was younger. The breeder I purchased her from was only feeding a rat pinky once a week, and sometimes only every other week.
