1500 grams is a judgement call your going to have to make. It depends on their lenght also. I have some pretty long girls that theres no way I would breed untill 1800-2000 grams min. On the other hand I have some (what I call short stubby) girls that 1500 grams and they look plump and ready to go. Bottom line they need the fat reserve for breeding. Some one may answer this better but I hope it helps.
