Saturday July 1st
I got home from work at around ten pm and checked my turtles before I ate dinner and noticed the hi yellow female on the side of the enclosure that she usually is not. I watched her awhile and soon realized she was digging a nest. I ran inside and got my video camera and a clip on light and I taped her having 5 eggs.
This whole event lasted until about three am. I guess I got about 30 mins of digging, the whole egg laying(1hr) and 30 mins of burying them. About and hour and a half of film total. I plan on editing it down to a shorter version and then somehow putting it online for ya'll to see! YAY!
After she covered the hole and went to bed I dug the eggs up and put them in the incubator with the roadkill rescue egg and the nine leopard gecko eggs I already had.
I was SO excited!
