Finding a vet is great. Most lizards (as far as I know) take time to settle in. The Mountain Horned Dragons (wild caught) can take a week or more to start feeding.

You can always take a fecal sample in later. The check up is also important especially if you're not sure his weight is right.

I did the same thing with my first pair of MHD. I got 2 because they looked so cool. Didn't know anything about how to care for them. Luckily I found Froggie B Dragons. I still lost one of them but have learned so much on the different forums. I'm now in the middle of my 2nd clutch hatching and totally hooked on MHD.
