dark spots are usually water related, I wasn't sure you just said discoloration so I didn't know if you had mold or something else going on.

at this stage, it sounds like you might have had it a bit damp, but they sound fine.

I wouldn't mist the top any more, your almost there.

also, I never pick up my eggs after initial placement, I would leave them alone.

how deep are they buried, and were is the spot??
is it on the egg above the buried surface.
