Posted by: althea at Fri Jul 7 23:14:42 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by althea ] Twice in the past month or so I have stumbled upon extraordinary deals on light bulbs at "major home materials chains". The first time I scored two dozen Sylvania 50W/double-life/flood bulbs for .25 apiece (full price=$3.79). Another shopper sent his wife for a cart while guarding the 150W bulbs for 1.00 apiece. "Reptiles?" he asked me. "Yep. . .monitors?" I asked him. "Yep, three, plus a couple of retics." I was also able to get some 65W larger bulbs for my bigger enclosures at .75 apiece. Needless to say, there wasn't much left on the clearance rack when we were through. The second time (today) I found bulbs for growing plants--$1.19 apiece. [ Hide Replies ]
