Polarpooch,
That would be so awesome to breed BRB's! Rainbows are such beautiful animals. I'm sure they would be an absolute joy to breed.
I'm just starting to become interested in breeding, too. I'm hoping to breed chondros within a couple of years... just getting my feet wet for now by trying to acquire a yearling/subadult pair, and reading all that I can. I've already made arrangements to purchase a male... he is a beauty produced by Rich Culver - a totally kitten-tame two year old Biak outcross. I've actually been researching chondros ever since I first started in the herp community. They've been my favorite since I was a kid!
Regarding dogs... aren't the Northern breeds just the best!? I'm the type to research stuff pretty obsessively... so I've read tons about Sibes and subscribed to a bunch of the Siberian mailing lists. It'll be several years before hubby and I get our own dog, though! Too many cats right now... not willing to mix a Sibe with a hyper prey-drive with 5 naive cats!
Annnyhow, please make sure to keep us updated on the eggs as they develop and begin to hatch! This all sounds like a very cool little adventure for you. I wish I had some eggs to hatch now, too!
And by the way, here's a pic of my first new chondro, who will be coming to live with me in a month or two (I don't think Rich will mind if I post it here). I'm so excited!
