You might want to be careful about using tape. If the snake can get to the sticky side (he reached that spot once) he will try and push his way through it. Not so bad, but if you have sticky tape he will get caught in it. I had a small corn get stuck in tape once and pulling him out opened his side. He lived through it but it was scary.
