Why not get one of those plasic carrier cage things they have at wal-mart. Like $4 bucks and no small holes for escaping. Also light weight and makes cleaning very easy, and if your snakes as small as you said it is, it'll do fine in it for a while. Had one of mine in there (till it got a rubbermaid cage).
