"Can't believe someone would let a RES "go free" on the beach! Some people are such total idiots."



Considering how many people let unwanted dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and goldfish "go free" (yup, I've heard of all these and more), it doesn't surprise me at all that someone would dump a baby turtle. I really think that this happens more readily with reptiles than with mammals, too.

That's why RES's are now thriving in parts of the country (should I say world?) where they are not native...

Good for your friend for adopting it!
