He has found his own source of AC under his water bowl, so there is in fact a cool spot for him to use during the heat of the day. As any liquid evaporates, it absorbs heat as it converts into a vapor form. This is the basic principle of refrigeration and what is happening with that water bowl is similar to what happens on the surface of your skin when your body needs to cool itself. His water bowl is being cooled by the evaporation of the water in it and he has found himself a nice cool spot under the bowl. | ||
