I don't think it's confusing at all, Jared and Tom agree with me on this one... Put yourself in our shoes and you'd have the same approach... People will already think they have the gene and want to breed them out , instead of doing the obvious which is to invest in the proven ones.. Everyone and their brother with a weird looking ball will want to breed it to a YB to see if it produces what we have.. Alot of clutches are already out there with no Cyclones in them so that should tell people something about the odds of hitting on it, I'm not saying it is impossible but is will be alot more rare than people think.. Keep in mind if it was that common of a gene we would have seen the cross come out of Africa , as far as I know that has yet to happen , the original gene "Whirl Wind" seems to originate from Africa but the cross has only surfaced in captivity.. Regardless as I said before my female resembles a Fire, other than that you wouldn't be able to see anything unusual about her , the Vanilla's do also look like Fires so who knows what that cross will do , only time will tell. Tom didn't produce his female with his line of Vanillas so that isn't a sure thing at this point either.. The only sure thing I know here is that the Whirl Winds will be worth having around, and in a couple years they will be for sale (once this baby male Whirlly is breeding )as I plan to breed an actual Ivory male to the original Whirl Wind mother to produce a few more Cyclones instead of just using a regular YB male again... I will be posting pics of the baby Whirl Wind and male Cyclone once they are feeding well ... Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles...
