Naming!

Things have gotten way out of wack with all the naming, especially for morphs we already have, that already have a name! Let me be the first to say I do not have any Spiders, although I do have a female that will soon be on her way here, and I cannot keep up with all the Bees, BUT, at least there is a common theme. I am sure once my Spider female gets here, I will learn all the Bee morphs, and it will not be too difficult since there is some rhyme and reason too it.

I also need to get the Ember Ball name issue out in the open, because I am sure someone will bring it up and say you named a proven morph.... When the Ember Balls first hatched, I thought they were Hypo/Ghosts, simple recessive animals. NERD soon set me straight, that they were NOT in all likelyhood, a simple recessive animal. I moved on from there, and did all the research I could do, and all signs pointed to Fire, Vanilla/Thunder..Lightning. It was also my understanding that the name Fire is trademarked, and unless you buy from the established line, you cannot call your animal a Fire, even if proven to have a Black Eyed Lucy as a Super. So, I went with the Fire theme, and called my animals Embers. If they prove to be Fires, they will be Embers, Fire Embers, Ember Fires...etc...whatever sticks.

My Mojave cross....the originator female is not a Mojave at all, and the name was a discription, NOT an actual name, for the unknown morph babies. Once Eric and I figure out what is going on, we will call them Mojave "whatever they are." Example, Mojave Ember, Mojave Vanilla, etc. Mojave cross is just a discription, not a name.

Now to my point...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, why do we need multiple names for one snake? I think it is Ego...

Finally, enough already with the "Weather" related names.
