RE: First Gecko, need help!

One of mine had the same problem when I got him a few weeks ago. I took in a sample of his fecal matter to the vet to be tested and it came back negative for parasites (perhaps a good thing to have checked in this case anyway). It may be stress causing the bad symptoms. Some of that stress should go away as he/she settles in and correct temps probably would help some.

Just to be safe I'd take in a fecal sample in to the vet for testing. It'll probably cost about 35 bucks to do. It's a good opportunity to hunt around for a decent reptile vet while you're at it because most normal vets don't know enough about reptiles to handle the more "special" problems. You may need one later and trying to hunt around for one in an emergency will be much more difficult.
