In my experience, they do better with a light to provide a day/night cycle for them, but I'll agree with the previous post that the one you have looks kinda huge. I use a 50 watt full spectrum bulb - any more than that and it gets a bit too toasty in there.
Also, s/he would probably appreciate some sort of hide on the cool end of the tank too - that way during the day, s/he can choose what temperature to be, rather than have a hide and get baked by the light or be cool enough to be comfortable but be exposed choice. I find that my gecko usually sleeps in the cool hide, but every now and then we see her asleep in the warm one under her light. ----- 0.1 Albino Leopard Gecko - Tigger
