If you want to use a light use a red bulb. Get an under tank heater. They need belly heat. You need to check your temps. Mid 70's on one end mid to upper 80's on the hot side. Don't use a bowl like the one you have water in as a meal worm dish, they will crawl right out. Find one that is smooth. Petco carries good ones, they are hand panited. I've only ever had one or two escapees with those bowls. If you just put mealie in the cage and he doesn't eat them right away, they will find nice hiding places under the paper towels. The only sharp edges you need to worry about are the ones around the hole you cut out. Not sure what the football thingy is for. good luck. [ Hide Replies ]
