Here is something I have not had happen before:

I have this female due to give birth on July 24th. Today she dropped her "pre-birth waxy stool".:



The photo above was actually taken second. This shows a classic "pre-birth waxy stool" (Actually, "turd" was the word I originally used, but I could not convince the Reptiles magazine editor that it was a good idea). The next photo taken, though a bit blurry, shows what I first found in the cage:



This is that same turd with a very much alive baby wrapped around it upside-down! Very weird! Here she has had her per-birth turd and along with that turd, inadvertently pushed out the first baby! I think I have had this happen before but can't remember it for sure. I have had dead babies early but I can't remember a live one. I know this has happened to many others though. It's sort of funny to have one baby come early and then have to continue to wait for the rest of them.

Here is that same baby a few minutes later. I did not leave him in there as she will be tearing the place up in the next few days getting ready to have the rest of the kids. I put the baby in my incubator. Boa incubator that is...



Great stuff! This NEVER gets old!
