The still air Hovabator is probably your best beginner and very dependable way to incubate.

You can pick one up from any farm and feed store for far less than online via a reptile supply due to shipping costs( dimentional weight). With less temp flucation your hatch rates will be higher and your can set it for your choice of female /male.... temp sexed babies. The higher temps will be female.

As far as costs.... after purchase it costs pennies a day to operate. I recentally bought one, I have four, for $33.00.
